Hamilton's interest in and practice of magic began when he was eight years old as a result of visiting Disneyland with his parents and watching the magicians perform on main street. His father noticed and encouraged his prestidigitation infatuation by buying him magic books and tricks.
He began performing sleight of hand and parlor magic for family, friends, church and school carnivals in the amateur capacity by the age of 10. This continued on an amateur level into young adulthood.
Although
his love for, and practice of magic continued on an amateur level,
he never seriously considered pursuing it as a career until 1986 when
opportunity knocked and found him waiting in the proverbial wings.
Hamilton recalls the event that launched his professional career in magical entertainment: "In 1984 I was an assistant manager of a large apartment complex in Glendale Arizona. We were attending a management training event one day, when I overheard one of the senior managers talking about an upcoming special entertainment event involving the Mayor of Phoenix, Arizona along with some of the Phoenix Suns" . . .
" He was saying that one of the acts for this event had canceled at the last minute and that they needed an act to fill in. I don't know what came over me but I knew I had to have that spot so I interrupted his conversation and stated that I could do some magic. They just kinda ignored me and kept on talking". . .
"One of them was smoking a cigarette so I reached out with my bare hand and snatched the lit cigarette from his mouth which got his attention. I then dropped the cigarette into my bare hand while they both watched from just inches away and vanished it. Their jaws dropped and one of them exclaimed "you do magic?" I said yes. He asked me if I would consider filling the spot. I told him I would check my schedule, smiled and said What do you know, I just happen to have an opening!" HAMILTON got the part.
"What stands out in my mind most is the fact that my magic act was one of the most popular in the entire show. I had no scripted patter, most of it was just ad-lib, I simply played off what the audience provided me with. Something I still do to this day. After the show I was approached by two or three people who asked me if I performed in Vegas. I remember thinking to myself that either they didn't get out much or perhaps I was better than I gave myself credit for, and if that were the case I wondered what could I do if I really took my magic seriously."
That was the turning point in HAMILTON's magical career, he has taken his magical skills of illusion and legerdemain seriously ever since.
By
1988 Hamilton was performing for slightly larger venue, such as colleges,
malls, fraternities, retirement resorts and community talent shows,
audiences of all ages and types loved him. He also officially began

with Pepsi Cola and other noteworthy professional entertainers. The
production was a success and soon HAMILTON was a featured guest on
local radio talk and television shows. He was well received, highly
regarded by audiences and the media and frequently called upon for
repeat performances. HAMILTON's professional magical entertainment
career had officially taken off.
Hamilton
entered the night club and major corporate market in the early 90's
his unique approach, theatrical creativity and professionalism caused
the act to evolve and climb the ranks of quality venue rapidly. He
performed for as much as $10,000 per show (plus expenses) for corporations
such as U.S. West (now Quest), Allied Signal Aerospace, Chrysler Corporation,
Honeywell and others. He was frequently called upon for repeat performances
and repeat bookings with these corporate giants.
The
rapid progression of Hamilton's entertainment career suffered a temporary
setback in the mid 90's which forced him to rebuild his
act, marketing materials and clientele.
